I am so pleased to see lots of new growth on my Yuzu citrus tree after nearly losing it during the exceptionally cold winter of 2021-22. The dense root system which forms throughout the potting soil in an Air-Pot container, means the core can survive low temperatures which will kill plants in conventional pots. The circling roots in normal pots develop on the outside next to the pot wall and are easily killed by frost.

It is not too late to get some quick “catch crops” planted before winter bites. Rocket (arugula) can do well in a pot if squirrels do not dig up the young seedlings. Wire mesh has been deployed here to protect from the pesky varmints.
