Our Peach tree in an Air-Pot container has produced a good crop. Keeping it in the poly tunnel for the first half of the year protects it from peach leaf curl fungus and allows the fruit to ripen. The tree has now been moved outdoors for the rest of the year as the indoor space is needed for other crops.

Plantings of soft fruit bushes such as blueberries & currants in large Air-Pot containers have done well for many years. The workers at the Air-Pot factory also benefit from strawberries in an Air-Pot trough at this time of year – only the early arrivals get the pick of the crop! My redcurrants are looking beautifully jewel-like but netting is essential to protect from hungry birds.

Last year we also planted a bare root apricot tree. It has established well and developed a strong root system allowing it to and produce an amazing crop of honey sweet fruit.
